Many SMEs want to have a presence on social media to build more awareness about their brand, products and/or services. They also want engage with their target audience who are now on different social media channels. However, SMEs face challenges doing so. Which social media channel should they target? Which social media channel is their target audience consuming information from? This workshop is designed to help SMEs gain an understanding of social media marketing, and how to effectively use of social media channels for their brands.
At the end of this workshop, participants will:
- Walk away with an increased awareness of social media marketing
- Understand the importance of doing research and knowing who the target audience is, in order to decide on the best social media channel to do marketing on
- Gt to ask burning questions they have about social media challenges they are facing, and receive relevant, targeted advice that they can apply to their businesses
Edvarcl has worked in digital media for 17 years. Besides digital and social media marketing, he also has extensive experience in media product management, journalism and editorial operations. Ed has worked with brands such as American Express, Bayer AG, Blackmores, CBS Interactive, Coca-Cola, Dell, Discovery Channel Asia, Kellogg’s, Jollibee, Juniper Networks, Proctor & Gamble and Singapore Press Holdings.
Prior to SG Story, Edvarcl created and helmed the social media division at MediaCom across Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia.
