Thus, this Group Based Upgrading Project was designed with the aim of to enhancing the knowledge and capabilities about sustainable business practises within the hospitality and tourism sectors.
By taking part in this programme, you will get the opportunity to

Understand how you may adhere to local and international sustainability standards and certifications

Meet your goal to achieve at least ONE of the UN SDGs

Gain access to sustainability tools to support your organisation in your sustainability measurement and management

Who can Participate
Companies registered and incorporated in Singapore and having at least 30% shareholding by a Singapore Citizen/Permanent Resident.
Operating in one of these business activities:
- Travel & Tourism,
- Accommodation
- Food & Beverage

Benjamin Lephilibert
Co-Founder, The PLEDGE™ on Food Waste
Benjamin Lephilibert is the Founder and CEO of LightBlue, a UN-awarded Food Waste prevention tech and consultancy firm tackling food waste across 30+ countries. He has led 100+ projects with top hotel groups, restaurants, governments, and organizations like WWF and Michelin.
A global speaker and guest lecturer, he also co-designed The PLEDGE on Food Waste and FIT Food Waste Tech. Benjamin is a certified GSTC trainer and has trained thousands of culinary professionals worldwide.

Marco Sandri
Global Manager, The PLEDGE™ on Food Waste
Marco Sandri is the Global Manager of The PLEDGE on Food Waste, a third-party certification focused on reducing food waste in hotels, restaurants, and canteens. He has trained over 200 F&B professionals across the UK, South Korea, Indonesia, China, and Thailand, after working in the food and beverage industry in Italy, Canada, and New Zealand.
Marco is also a certified trainer for LightBlue Consulting’s Food Waste Consultant course and has spoken at international conferences in the US, Malaysia, Mauritius, and Thailand. He holds a Master’s in International Hospitality Management from IU International University of Applied Sciences in Germany.

Danny Condecido
Chief Executive Officer, SusTek
Danny Condecido is a sustainability professional and digital transformation leader with deep expertise in ESG and customer relationship management. He applies a data-driven approach to modernising business processes and integrating sustainability into digital strategies (AI) that deliver real impact.
Danny champions the powerful intersection of ESG and CRM—helping hospitality organisations personalise guest experiences while advancing environmental goals. By aligning customer insights with responsible practices, he enables brands to build loyalty, operate more efficiently, and lead with purpose in a rapidly evolving industry.

Michelle Lim
Founder, Firebelly
Michelle is a “fire in the belly” branding specialist passionate about transforming organizations into world-class brands through strategic branding. She founded Firelbelly Brand Consultancy in 2015 to help organisations looking to expand and elevate.
Her stellar track record includes pioneering branding for the world-renowned Marina Bay Sands, as well as C-suite positions managing strategic brand development for fast moving consumer brands like McCain Food, Sunshine Bakeries, SCS Butter, and NutriSoy.
